Origins
ABCs developed from the founders desire to address the affordable housing crisis along with other social issues. Such as the cost and methods of education.
The founder spent 2024 working on a pilot project entitled ELiS. The first Educational Live-in Studio successfully offered free housing and food for 15 people throughout the first year in exchange for their dedication to self development, assistance with household tasks and community engagement.
The project ended due to lack of organization and funds on the founders end. The concept for ELiS was to have its student guests engage with the community for 10 hours a week, and in doing so bring in funds and resources, such as food, back to the home through community donations. However, due to the immediate need for funds and food, the founder did not have time or the support needed to build the community network in order to obtain community support.
This social experiment led to a deeper understanding of what is needed for an ELiS project to be successful. It also led to the new umbrella society that became Ascension based community structures Society.

As the founder invasions a number of different types of social constructs created to support a wide range of individuals from students to new parents, elderly to the homeless and more.
When thinking of a name for the society, ABCs came to mind because when most people think of the ABCs they think of the building blocks of language and communication, they think of the alphabet and simple things. And this simplicity, is what ascension based community structures is working towards.

When it comes down to solving the issues facing us today a new level of thinking is required, just as Einstein stressed in his quote.
~”We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them”~
We can not solve the affordable housing crises with the same tools and legislation that created these issue in the first place. With this in mind ABCs is approaching this crisis from a completely unique perspective.
We are working towards restructuring the rules and updating the players in ways that incentives the most responsible and respectful behaviours.
